Medicaid: Many Medicaid recipients upon their death are entitled to burial benefits through the Department of Social Services. Medicaid will provide those entitled families up to $2,770.00 towards funeral expenses. The family is entitled to supplement the Medicaid amount with up to $ 1,570.00.
